Eggs Cocotte with Speciale Cru Ham





  • 8 slices of Sadia Speciale Raw Ham, torn
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 onion peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 6 tomatoes cut into cubes
  • 1 cup (tea) of water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • Chopped parsley to taste
  • Toasted slices of bread (to accompany)

Method of preparation

  1. In a frying pan, heat the oil and brown the onion; add the tomatoes and sauté;
  2. Add the water, salt, sugar and pepper and let the sauce simmer over low heat;
  3. Crack the eggs, side by side, on the surface of the frying pan. Cover the frying pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the eggs are cooked but the yolk is still soft;
  4. Spread the slices of ham on top and sprinkle with parsley. Serve accompanied by bread.
